Learn about prevention

CPP offers a unique opportunity to learn about the real impact of substance misuse. Additionally, we focus on related health promotion topics such as mental health. With provided training and resources, you’ll discover the impact that YOU can make through prevention!

Connect with peers

Through CPP you can meet new people, connect with local organizations, and collaborate with other campuses.

Make a difference

When you join a CPP group you’ll have the chance to share awareness campaigns, organize health promotion events, and bring valuable resources to your campus.

Our Mission

To partner with prevention organizations, universities, and students to reduce the impact of the non-medical use of prescription drugs among all colleges in Georgia.

  • Why we address substance use and mental health

  • More than 1 in 6 people aged 12 or older had a substance use disorder in the past year. (NSDUH, 2022)

  • Nearly half of young adults aged 18-25 had either a mental illness or substance use disorder in the past year. (NSDUH, 2022)

  • More than half of adults with a mental illness do not receive treatment. (MHA,2022)
